APD investigates Sunday morning homicide

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police launched a homicide investigation Sunday in the northeast part of the city.
Initially, police say officers responded to the area of 7900 Constitution Ave. NE regarding a car crash. When officers arrived to the crash after 4 a.m. they found a person dead inside the car with a gunshot wound.
Police identified the person as 28-year-old Trevor Monteiro.
