APD: Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened just after midnight near the intersection of Odelia and Edith.
Police say a BMW rear-ended a motorcycle and dragged it for about half a mile. The rider was ejected and died at the hospital.
Police say the driver of the BMW took off and officers later found the vehicle abandoned. Witnesses said that three people inside the BMW fled the area.
According to police, the motorcycle was reported stolen Tuesday.
The crash is being investigated as a hit and run and charges are pending.
