ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Officers with the Albuquerque Police Department have shot at suspects 18 times this year. That is an alarming and record-breaking total for APD.
Albuquerque police have killed 10 people this year – that’s a third of all police shooting deaths in the city since 2018. Department leaders know something needs to change.
