ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Hundreds of New Mexicans are gathering this weekend for the return of the Bosque Chile Fest.

This is the first time since the pandemic hit that Bernalillo County has been able to host the festival.

Organizers also moved it from the National Hispanic Cultural Center to the New Mexico state fairgrounds.

“We’ve been separated for quite a while and just to bring back our tradition of being together, and, of course, red or green chile,” said Chamar Valdez, events coordinator with Bernalillo County.

The Chile Fest continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the state fairgrounds.
