Crews head to Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon burn scar for flood response

SANTA FE, N.M. — After battling the Black Feather Fire, Northern New Mexico Type 3 Incident Management is returning to the area for post-fire flood response.

Officials are in the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon burn scar reviewing what work they need to do. That includes clearing debris, cleaning culverts, and repairing roads.

The team is encouraging people to fill out an online form (available in English and Spanish) if they need help with flooding in their area. They can also call (505) 460-6436.
