BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. — Deputies reportedly found two people dead inside of a home Monday during a welfare check in southwest Albuquerque.

Bernalillo County deputies responded around 7 a.m. to a call to a home near Bridge Boulevard and Anthony Lane. They arrived and noted the door was unlocked.

The deputies made several attempts to communicate with anyone inside the home but received no response.

At that point, deputies went into the home. That’s when they found two people dead inside.

Deputies identified the two people as 27-year-old Javier Almanza and 21-year-old Hannah Slaven.

BCSO says details are limited at this time. The initial investigation, however, indicates a possible murder-suicide.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the scene and gather all the details surrounding what happened.
