East Mountain Celebration happening Sunday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — This Sunday, an annual get-together is back to celebrate part of the metro area.

The East Mountain Celebration will be held Sept. 25, from noon to 5 p.m., at Los Vecinos Community Center in Tijeras. The theme for this year is County Fair and there will be food trucks, live music, zip-lining, kids’ activities, a pie-eating contest, a car show, agricultural exhibits, artisan vendors and more to incite some childhood nostalgia and inspire some memories.

The event will also honor outstanding citizens in County Commission District 5 for their volunteer work and contributions to the quality of life in Bernalillo County.
