ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — 26-year-old Brittany Chavez was last seen in Valencia County on July Fourth, according to New Mexico State Police.

Brittany was reportedly seen off State Road 47. She is now listed as a missing endangered person.

“She told me she was running errands,” said Martin Chavez, Brittany’s dad. “That was the last time her phone was actually used for any phone calls or text messages, was on July 10.”

He father is hopeful that, with help, they will be able to bring his daughter home.

“I’ve also thought the worst,” he said. “All I know is I just want my daughter back.”

Brittany has a six-year-old son and has had struggles with addiction.

“Even in the past, when she’s had previous problems, she’s never been one to leave her son, my grandson, or try to be away from him,” Martin said. “That’s her rock right there. That’s what keeps her going.”

Brittany was last seen wearing a black tank top and blue jeans. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Brittany is asked to contact the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office.
