Friday Night Lights: La Cueva heads to Rio Rancho HS for season opener

RIO RANCHO, N.M. — La Cueva and Rio Rancho High School each kick off their season with a big Friday night match-up in Rio Rancho.
The Rio Rancho Rams face the La Cueva Bears at Rio Rancho Stadium, Friday at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.
Last season, the Rams beat the Bears twice: First, a 50-0 win – in La Cueva’s worst loss in school history – and a 35-34 win in double-overtime during a state semifinal game held in Rio Rancho.
