ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — As the death toll from the Maui wildfires has risen to historic levels, there are ways you can help relief efforts, including locally.

Next Friday, from 6-7:30 p.m., the Ka Lā Kapu Polynesian Dance School is hosting its Lāhainā Fire fundraiser. There will be traditional island-style music from 4Sale and a performance by the dance school.

The event is happening at Kaktus Brewing Company in Bernalillo.

The cover is a $10 suggested donation for the performances, Mai Tai specials and food. Local Maui foundations will receive all of the proceeds from the cover charge and food and drink sales.

If you can’t make it and still want to donate, contact Ka Lā Kapu.
