Man charged after fatally shooting girlfriend

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police provided updates on a deadly shooting investigation in the North Valley Tuesday.  

Police say the shooting happened near 12th Street and Griegos just after 1 a.m. Tuesday. 

Police say 22-year-old Mykyle Lewis-Robinson shot and killed his girlfriend after the two got into a fight. 

Lewis-Robinson told detectives he only meant to scare his girlfriend by pointing his gun at her.

He is in custody facing charges for murder.
