NMSP: Suspect dead following sheriff’s office shooting in Eddy County

CARLSBAD, N.M. — A suspect is dead following a sheriff’s office shooting in Eddy County.

According to state police, the shooting involved deputies with the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office near West Texas Street and Happy Valley Road.

The deputies involved are reportedly OK and not injured.
