Roswell police ID homicide victim, search for suspect

ROSWELL, N.M. — A 36-year-old Roswell man was identified as the victim of a suspected shooting homicide.

Police responded to a shooting they say occurred around 4 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of South Missouri Avenue. Emergency responders found 36-year-old Robert Smiley dead there, with at least one gunshot wound. Smiley was found inside a travel trailer on a residential property in the area.
