SANTA FE, N.M. – After a tense car chase with police, Santa Fe police officers say they arrested a man who allegedly robbed a teenager at gunpoint.

Carlos Estrada-Lozano is behind bars after police say he stole a 17-year-old’s car on Saint Michaels Drive Friday night.

Police say the suspect, and another person, ran away after officers tried to pull them over. That’s when the two ditched the car and hid inside an apartment near Airport Road.

Estrada-Lozano would later surrender when police surrounded the area.

Officers also arrested Desiree Sandoval, who was with Estrada-Lozano in the apartment for multiple outstanding warrants.

Police did not identify the second person involved in the robbery. The 17-year-old victim was not hurt.
