Sistine Chapel exhibit now open at Expo New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A new exhibit at Expo New Mexico is bringing the Sistine Chapel to the Duke City this summer.

Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition is giving guests the chance to get up close with the Renaissance artist’s masterpiece frescoes. Various frescoes are displayed separately in the exhibit, in life-size form, to understand and analyze the nuances of each piece and learn more about them.

The exhibit runs now through Aug. 7 at the Creative Arts Center at the New Mexico Fairgrounds. It is open Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with time slots available every half hour.
