ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Storms will be contained mostly to the south and west Thursday but temperatures won’t be as hot.

To start the morning, temperatures will hang around 64-70° with some clouds – and warm up to around 82-86° with a chance of scattered thunderstorms.

The northern mountains will get some relief as no flood watches are posted. However, flood advisories are posted in Chaves, De Baca and Roosevelt counties amid some heavy storms to start the morning.

Flood watches are posted in areas around the McBride burn scar near Ruidoso and around burn scars west of I-25 and north of I-10, near Silver City.

Rain chances should diminish as the weekend nears. Steve Stucker has a look at it all in his full forecast. Click the video above to view it.
