ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Across New Mexico, storm chances will be elevated but the west has a greater chance than the east.

It’s effectively a return to monsoon conditions as northwest New Mexico has flood watches posted. The burn scar areas should also be cognizant of heavy rain that may cause flash floods, especially on Thursday when possibly torrential rainfall could occur.
