ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – We’re expecting clear skies Tuesday morning with sharply cooler temperatures in eastern portions of the state – down 10-15 degrees in a number of areas.

It’s also generally breezy in the east with speeds in the teens. That’s due to an incoming cool front, which is the first of several of the next couple days. The front will bring moisture and the potential for storms.

Tuesday will be another hot, dry, breezy day throughout the state with temperatures pretty close to normal: 70s in the high elevation spots with 80s and 90s around most of the state. Roswell and Carlsbad could hit 100 by this afternoon.

We start to see a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in central and eastern New Mexico on Wednesday.
