ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — If you noticed some rumbles of thunder and rain showers over the weekend – and liked it – you will enjoy what lies ahead this week.

Storms will bring rain throughout New Mexico as we get back into more of a monsoon-like pattern. Southeast portions of the state will still see some hot temperatures, however.

If you’re looking to beat the heat, to not repeat last week, the northern mountains will be a relief as shower chances and temperatures in the 70s and 80s are likely. Beware of flash flooding – watches are posted in the burn scar areas. Full details on alerts and your hometown weather are at our weather page.
