Diana Castillo
Diana Castillo first joined the KOB 4 team as a bureau reporter in Farmington. She left New Mexico for a reporting job in Colorado Springs, but returned to KOB 4 in 2022 and is now reporting for the weekday morning show.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Diana graduated from New Mexico State University. As an NMSU student, Diana was a part of student-run newscasts called News 22 and Noticias 22.
“It was wonderful to actually do reporting while I was studying journalism with an emphasis in broadcast; I fell in love with storytelling then,” Diana explains.
As KOB 4’s morning reporter, Diana’s storytelling skills are put to good use as she covers a variety of stories ranging from breaking news to interviews and features on New Mexicans.
When not working, she’s always on the lookout for new local coffee shops, and she’s keeping up with all of her family’s activities.
“Family means everything to me”, she says. “We get together whenever we can.”
Diana also loves animals – when she’s not working, she’s spending time with her cat Bali and dog Luna and, of course, there are always those NMSU games… where she’s definitely cheering the Aggies on.
