Feliz Romero

Feliz Romero joined KOB 4 as a reporter in March of 2023.

A proud New Mexican, Feliz is thrilled to come back to the station she watched growing up after a few years away from home. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of New Mexico (Go Lobos!) she packed up her Corolla and headed to Midland-Odessa.

During her time in West Texas, she covered everything. She followed multiple political campaigns, covered an oil market crash and a deadly mass shooting. She even took her talents to the gridiron, covering the Permian Panthers under the Friday night lights.

Feliz then moved to Oklahoma City where she covered an array of national news, local politics, and extreme weather. Most notably, Feliz reported on the pardon and parole case of former death row inmate Julius Jones, who was granted a stay of execution hours before the state of Oklahoma was set to execute him. Feliz also won an Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Award for her breaking news coverage of a deadly shooting and chase involving a deputy.

When Feliz isn’t out covering the news she loves spending time with her family, playing tennis and discovering new local restaurants and breweries.

If you see Feliz out, say hello! Feel free to send her restaurant recommendations or news tips at feliz.romero@kob.com or follow her on Twitter @FelizRomeroTV.
