Lobo QB picks up conference honors in home opener

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Lobo quarterback Dylan Hopkins earned the Mountain West Conference award for Offense Player of the Week.
Hopkins transferred from UAB and recently led the Lobos to a 56-10 win Saturday against Tennessee Tech.
“I tell people all the time, out of all the seasons I have played, this is the most excited I’ve been for a season. I just think about getting a win in front of the home crowd. Being on that losing streak, you know, definitely kind of sucks but getting that win tonight, definitely felt good for the hometown,” Hopkins said.
