Give 4 the Holidays

KOB 4 is making it easy for YOU to GIVE 4 THE HOLIDAYS!

What is better than giving a gift at the holidays?  How about giving a gift to someone who really needs help in these tough times?

That’s what you can do during the month of December during GIVE 4 THE HOLIDAYS on KOB 4, a partnership with 4 local charities to raise money with a series of donation hotlines – all aimed at helping New Mexico children and families.

Every Thursday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., KOB 4 will host a GIVE 4 THE HOLIDAYS hotline to benefit one of the charities. The number to call will be announced at 5 p.m. on each Thursday.

GIVE 4 THE HOLIDAYS Hotline: Dec. 22: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

New Mexico Appleseed changes laws and policies in the state to help our state’s children and families in need.  The group’s efforts have helped feed hundreds of thousands of children in our state every day and ensure that homeless students get the support they need at school.

New Mexico Appleseed takes no government funding and relies entirely on individual donors and foundations to fund their efforts.

Every week, ROADRUNNER FOOD BANK feeds tens of thousands of people in our state. With rising food prices, post-pandemic job insecurity and homelessness, many New Mexicans are finding themselves in food lines for the very first time.  Recent research shows 1 in 5 children and 1 in 8 adults are at risk of hunger.

In New Mexico, 26% of children live in poverty. BEDS4KIDZ provides clean, comfortable beds to those who need them. The organization gets dozens of requests every week for beds from families who have kids sleeping on the floor, sofa or sometimes even 4-5 to a bed. To date, BEDS4KIDZ has placed more than 16,000 people in beds. Donations from our community make this possible.
