ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A bosque fire wasn’t the only obstacle for firefighters back in May.

Weeks ago, Albuquerque crews were trying to track down a woman who reportedly set a dozen fires in the bosque. New video from the BCSO helicopter shows an unusual obstacle that firefighters faced while they tried to knock down the flames.

Court documents reveal Bernalillo County Undersheriff Larry Koren was piloting a helicopter attempting to make bucket drops on the fire when authorities said Cameron Agee started throwing items and threatening the helicopter. The video shows Agee taunting the undersheriff while naked, threatening the pilot, and then apparently throwing crowbars toward the chopper.

At one point, Agee pulls a backpack from his tent and pretends to have a gun, pointing it to the helicopter.

It goes on for about ten minutes before officers with the Albuquerque police Open Space Division walk up to Agee and search him. He was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He was released from custody and has another court appearance in July.
