ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Dry and hot weather will prevail over most of New Mexico through the weekend.

Some isolated, scattered thunderstorms may still develop near the northern and western high terrain each day with some rainfall possible. Winds will become breezy by Friday and persist through early next week, especially over eastern New Mexico.

A weak cold front may slide across the state Sunday night with cooler temperatures for central and western portions of the state by Monday and Tuesday.
