ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Labor Day will be hot and breezy which will kick up the fire danger in parts of New Mexico, including the northeast.

Gusts could be upward of 45 mph. Temperatures will be in the 90s to triple-digits.

If you want to escape the heat, your best bets will be Ruidoso, Silver City, Gallup, Durango and Taos as temperatures will be comfortably in the 80s instead.

The temperatures will warm up again, though. Meteorologist Kira Miner explains in her full forecast in the video above.
