ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — We’ll see less sunshine and mostly cloudy skies throughout New Mexico as conditions will be changing Tuesday.

The National Weather Service posted a winter storm warning from Tuesday evening to Thursday morning. That includes the northern mountains, including the Jemez Mountains and the San Juan Mountains, as well as the Gila Wilderness farther south.

Stretches of Interstate 40 between Grants and Gallup are also under a winter weather advisory Tuesday evening through Wednesday night.

Rain and snow will move in later Tuesday. Then, come Wednesday, we’ll see rain in the valleys and snow in mountainous areas.

High temperatures will mostly range in the 50s and 60s but will cool down Wednesday.
