Albuquerque teen takes plea deal in carjacking spree

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An Albuquerque teen has reportedly agreed to plead guilty to federal charges against him for an alleged carjacking spree earlier this year.

Malachi Crockett, 18, agreed to plead guilty to three counts of carjacking and aiding and abetting, as well as one count of possessing a firearm to further a violent crime.

The agreement specifies Crockett admitted to committing three carjackings in Albuquerque with two other teens. Crockett allegedly had a loaded pistol on him.

He now faces up to life in prison for his charges.

The other teens are still moving through the justice system.
